ABOUT CRUSADERS HERITAGE
About Crusaders Heritage & Historical Sources
An independent project exploring Christian heritage through history, service and creative interpretation.
Our purpose
Crusaders Heritage introduces the military orders and the Kingdom of Jerusalem through readable stories about courage, leadership, faith and service. We focus on achievements while giving readers the context needed to understand them.
Our editorial approach
Dates, events and institutional histories are linked to sources on the relevant pages. Some medieval details remain debated, especially troop numbers and later traditions. These introductions offer a route into further reading.
Institutional histories help explain how an order describes its own origins. They can be read alongside independent scholarship and surviving historical evidence. The resource list below is a starting point, not an exhaustive bibliography.
History, cinema and imagination
Historical pages, screen stories and modern concept art have different roles here. The Modern Crusader is a fictional creative project. Images are AI-created historical illustrations or fictional concept art; they are not documentary evidence or exact reconstructions.
Independent editorial project
This website has no official affiliation with the historical orders or their present-day institutions.
